Missional Communities
Missional Communities (MCs) are the primary expression of what it is to be the church at Rooted. Missional Communities are small communities who meet regularly in homes, seek to do life together, and to serve a common neighborhood, network or need (missional focus). Each MC’s missional focus serves as the driving force of the community.
Just as church isn’t an event but is God’s people, Missional Communities are not events, but are God’s people living out God’s mission together as family. While we are in one another’s’ lives often, every group also has a specific day and time they gather around a table in a home together each week. Whether you're already part of the Rooted family or checking us out for the first time, the best way to experience life in our church is to jump into a Missional Community near you.
At Rooted, we offer two distinct expressions of Missional Communities (MCs). Family MCs are designed for full households to participate together. These groups typically meet weekly, often discussing the previous Sunday’s sermon or working through a Bible study and emphasize fellowship. Micro-MCs, on the other hand, are gender-specific and more flexible. Meeting twice a month in smaller groups of 5–6 people, Micro-MCs focus on deeper Bible study and intentional discipleship.
